Doug Hendrix | blueharbor bank, Statesville, NCExecutive/Senior Vice President

Doug serves on the Downtown Statesville Development Cooperation {DSDC} Board of Directors. He has served for 5 years total and just over 1 year in his current term, holding the position of Incoming Chairman of the Board.

Board members serve voluntary three-year terms and represent a diverse population of interests, including downtown merchants, property owners, businesses, educational institutions and other community organizations.
Doug was born in Asheville, NC and grew up in Boone, NC. He graduated from Watauga High School and attended Campbell College. He graduated from Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY.

Doug married to Carole Wells Hendrix and has two daughters, Haley Williams and Mary Whitted Hendrix. He has two grandchildren, Worth, four years old, and Wells, two years old.

He started banking in 1984 with Northwestern Bank in Winston -Salem. First Union bought Northwestern in 1985 and transfered the Hendrixes to Kill Devil Hills, NC. Doug and his family moved to Statesville, North Carolina in 1989. After positions with First Union Bank {1989} and Piedmont Bank {2001}, Doug started with blueharbor bank in 2015 to open the Statesville, North Carolina office.

Downtown Statesville Development Corporation (DSDC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization charged with administering the Main Street program for Statesville and whose mission is to champion, promote and lead Downtown Statesville as the economic, social and cultural engine in the region. This is achieved in collaboration with public-private partners working together to enhance the appearance, desirability, and vitality of downtown.
