☀️ With Highs Around 60 ???? For 17th Annual Pumpkin Fest

Join us in Downtown Statesville on Saturday, November 2 for the 17th Annual Statesville Pumpkin Fest. From 10 am to 5 pm, the streets will be bustling with people and Downtown will be filled with live music, arts and crafts, great food, shopping, children’s activities, and much more.

At this fun-filled annual community event, there will be three stages hosting a variety of music and entertainment including The Trail Blazers, Red Dirt Revival, The Audiophiles and more on the Center Stage, hosted by WAME Real Country 92.9 & 550. Numerous other performances will happen throughout the day on different stages around the festival including demonstrations of dance, gymnastics, martial arts and local favorites performing on the Acoustic Stage.

Chainsaw Carving Demonstrations will be located on East Broad Street at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 3pm.

Kids will be entertained all day long in the Kids’ Zone, which will offer a variety of inflatables provided by Old Time Concessions! Hour-long wristbands or individual tickets for the Kids’ Zone will be available for purchase at the festival. In addition, they can smash pumpkins, paint them, or compete in the pumpkin pie-eating contest, provided by Publix, happening at 2:30 pm at the Center Stage located at the Square. Registration for the pie-eating contest begins at 10:00 am at the information tent located at the square. Registration is limited to 20 adults and 20 kids (12 & under). Adults compete by eating a whole pie and the kids compete by eating half of a pie. Winners receive cash prizes. Enjoy Pumpkin Bowling presented by Pla Mor Lanes located on East Broad Street near American Renaissance School and Kimbrell’s.

For the more grown-up kids, the Field of Games will be hosted by the Statesville Recreation & Parks on the street and in the grassy area beside Broad Street United Methodist Church. With free games of Cornhole, Spikeball, Crossnet, Polish Horseshoes, Kan Jam, Disc Golf Putting and Bocce, it is sure to be a blast for everyone.

Also for the adults, the Craft Beer Garden will feature craft beer from our local breweries. Red Buffalo Brewing Co. will be offering their Chocolate Stout (5.5%) and Blueberry Ale (5.2%) and Fourth Creek Brewing Co. will be offering their Stone Chaser Blonde Lager (4.9%) and Mrs. Mango IPA (7.4%). Enjoy a beer or glass of wine as you listen to the sounds of the The Horsemen (rock), The Misty River Band (bluegrass), and Bizzell & Campbell (country).

Come join us for the Classic Car Cruise-In, presented by AP Vintage Motors as part of the 17th Annual Statesville Pumpkin Fest. Court Street will transform into a large parking lot of classic cars (1994 and older) during the 2019 Statesville Pumpkin Fest. All cars will stage on S. Meeting Street beginning at 9:30 am. From 9:30 to 10:30 am, cars will start moving onto Court Street until the street is full. All cars must enter from the intersection of Front Street and Meeting Street. Pumpkin Fest attracts thousands of spectators each year and we want everyone to arrive and leave safely. For more information about the Cruise-In, contact Chuck Goode at 704-929-8150.

Downtown restaurants and stores will also be open throughout the day. Admission to the festival is free, although some of the activities will charge a fee. The event will take place rain or shine. No dogs or other animals, no bicycles, no skateboards allowed in event area according to City of Statesville Ord. 14-78
