This will assist in understand all the different types of signs that are permitted in the downtown district, the amount of signage that will be allowed on your building and to understand the process required to obtain sign permits. Sign Grant Program
Downtown Statesville Development Corporation’s (DSDC) new Sign Grant Program is intended to encourage and stimulate the introduction of quality pedestrian-oriented Dimensional Projecting and Prismatic Lettering signage into the downtown.
Signs are as much a part of our Main Street community as the buildings themselves. Their primary function is to identify businesses to customers but they also make an image statement of the business, contribute to the look of the buildings they are on and contribute to the overall look of downtown. A well designed and properly maintained sign can enhance the unique image of a downtown and favorably influence people’s perceptions of individual businesses and the district as a whole.
The purpose of the Sign Grant program is to provide grants to Downtown Statesville businesses to promote the creation of classic signage that strengthens the brand, creates a memorable impression using dimension and are pedestrian in nature.
It is intended that such improvements to signage will enhance the Downtown Statesville business environment through better education of customers and visitors and contribute to the overall look of downtown.
Businesses within the Downtown Statesville municipal service district can download a copy of the guidelines and application below or call our office 704-878-3436 or email email@example.com to request a copy.
