KICK OFF YOUR AUGUST IN THE BEST WAY! Meet us in Downtown Statesville to hear Classic Rock, Motown and R&B band “Motel Soap” as they perform Friday, August 9th, 2019 at The Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5 Summer Concert Series.

When they strap on their instruments and move to the microphones, longtime fans of the classic rock band Motel Soap know what’s coming and eagerly anticipate the phenomenal show they are about to enjoy. Those that are new to the Motel Soap experience, stand in awe throughout the first couple of songs and by the end of the evening, they are simply blown away.

Motel Soap is a 10-member band with an additional 3 members when performing with the horn section. Together they master a large play list of classic hits from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s with a sound so close to the original hits, it’s honestly difficult to tell them apart.

Motel Soap, founded in 2011, is made up of Rick Almond on saxophone and vocals, Alex Bost on guitar, Joe Gminder on guitar and vocals, Lonnie Carpenter on lead vocals, Gray Fallin on drums and vocals, Mark Holland on keyboards and vocals, Carlton Jackson on auxiliary percussion, Mark Jennings on bass and vocals, and Donna McMillan and Elizabeth Cooke on backup vocals.

In 2011 Motel Soap was put together to play one show but, it went over so well the band just kept getting booked again and again.

The Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5 Summer Concert Series offers FREE entertainment to Statesville’s residents, neighbors and visitors in Downtown Statesville from May through September and features music of all styles. It is the perfect event to bring your family for a night of fun.
